The Centre Cannot Hold, 2018
programmed lighting system
installation view at WTF gallery, Bangkok
The work applies “probability”, the method of estimating the possibility of events bound to happen. In this case, the binary oppositions between light and darkness are applied as events, estimated by creating a set of programs that randomly turn the lights on and off, according to the results of all events which are divided, known as “sample space”. These results are processed by the electrical lighting system through the actual space as if creating a suspended moment.
