The artist extracted a single page from Archaeology of Nakhon Ratchasima, a publication issued in March 1969 by the Faculty of Archaeology, Silpakorn University. The page shows a photograph of a fragmented sandstone foot, dating back approximately 1,300 years, unearthed at Dhammachaksemaram Temple in Seung Noen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. At the time of discovery, the excavation team wondered whether the original Buddha image had been reclining or standing, before eventually concluding that it had belonged to a reclining figure.

In the vicinity of Seung Noen today, the artist encountered a sandstone remnant, an offcut from the carving of a Buddha image. This stone was incised to hold the extracted page, serving as a base that situates the historical image within a material trace of its origin.
