The work refers to a film editing technique known as the “wipe”—a transition that resembles the action of opening or closing a sliding door. In this technique, one image replaces another by moving across the frame from one side to the other, connecting two scenes through motion. In this piece, the wipe is employed not to bridge narrative moments, but to reveal the transition itself.
